R&D specialist at Gemeente 's-Hertogenbosch
Tilburg Area, Netherlands
An ICT professional with lots of experience and knowledge of modern computer networks.
The following list includes but is not limited to the knowledge I've acquired throughout my professional career:
Windows (server <= 2003, workstation <=Vista), several Unix flavours including Linux (OpenSuSE, SLE, Debian, RedHat), NetWare (<=OES), Cisco (switches, VPN, FWSM, CSM, WIFI, SAN-switches, CWLMS <=2.6), 3Com (switches, ATM corebuilder, NetBuilder II), Virtualization (VMWare (Workstation <=6, ESX <=3, Server, Xen), SAN (Dell/EMC CX500), NAS, Clustering, High Availability, GroupWise <=7 incl. GroupWise Mobile Server 2, BorderManager <=3.9, Zenworks Suite <=7, eDirectory <=8.8, iChain <= 2.3, Novell Identity Manager <=2 etc., etc..
My next challenge would be to start a carreer as a technical consultant. I feel that this is the most obvious step for me to take. Apart from that, I'm also very interested in sharing my knowledge with other people and feel very comfortable in classroom settings.
Knowing that ICT technologies are very important to reach organizational goals my strength lies in translating these goals into underlying technical solutions. To be able to do that I have developed communicational skills not often found with technical professionals.

January 2009 — Present (1 year )
As of january 1st 2009 I've been given a new challenge. It's my responsibility to explore new techniques and technologies that can be implemented to keep the IT-facilities of gemeente 's-Hertogenbosch at least as competitive as they are now. Many challenges lay ahead so it's important to explore possibilities beforehand to keep the number of "surprises" limited to as few as possible.
As far as customer initiated projects are concerned, where needed it's my task to get involved as soon as possible in order to make things go as smoothe as possible.
In the coming months I also have to transfer some of my previous responsibilities (as Administrator ICT-infrastructure C) to some other collegues. I'm confident this will happen soon so I can shift focus towards my new work field.
