Karl originally from Coburg, Southern Germany, left Bertelsmann AG to come to attend a Sloan M.Sc at London Business School. He founded AMI in 1996 and worked with companies in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, India, and Brazil (e.g. Bertelsmann, Deutsche Bank, Random House).

Karl enjoys music, sports and travel. He is married and has two sons. His personal motto is: "How can I add value today?"
