Remco Oostelaar has got a broad experience in testing and project management especially in the financial and products domain. In the previous years he has gained a wide experience as a test coordinator around off-shore and outsourcing of test activities.
Every project has got its own characteristics, which means there is no standard solution to achieve the customer business goal. In collaboration with the customer and his team Remco will deliver the best strategy. To realize the project case he strongly acts on quality and transparency business activities.

The Ricoh group is implementing the Siebel and Oracle E-business suite and business processes for both Front Office and Back Office applications across all European Operation Companies (OpCo).
The testing responsibility within the SHARE II program is changing to a managed service agreement which is contracted to Capgemini. The current test manager has asked Remco Oostelaar to support him in setting up the new test architecture and with the integration of Capgemini India within the project. Beside this role Remco is responsible for all release testing activities and supervises a shared test team of 25 testers.
To integrated Capgemini India within project he setup a "one team approach" for the offshore production support testing within SHARE program.

Achmea is transforming in a new organisation structurewhere the division Interpolis is building new applications.
In the new set-up a continues harmonization and communication between the several divisions is of vital importance. By setting up detailed specifications and inform the business concerning the quality of the application and underlying company processes.
In his role as a test coordinator he was responsible for integrations and users acceptance tests in combination with the Avero Achmea intermediary portal. He worked within a multidisciplinary team to guarantee an adequate test policy (RUP methodology) and deliverd detailed test plans on the integration points of the two organizations.
In the period till June 2008 he worked on the project disability insurance (AOV). The application has been implemented successfully.
Since May 2008 till October he was active in the project team for staff absence (Verzuim) what went live on 8-09 live with some minor open defects.

Hereby the list of the internal activities for Cagemini:
- Coaching young professionals within Capgemini since 2006.
- Setup a new coaching model, where (senior) consultants work project based on new topics. Currently this coaching model runs as a pilot. The subject of the session is: “looking at the expectation and experiences of starters and employees with two years experience with the profession of testing within Capgemini".
- Supervise graduates with their master’s thesis.
- Restructured the new delivery model of the Global tests community within Capgemini Netherlands. Currently working with the global Cop-leader to roll out this model worldwide.

The Ministry of Social affairs and employment was dealing with an external party for its application development. This changed their roll within the project and the users organization by ensuring the end quality new software.
Capgemini was asked for setting up a generic test process for the Ministry according to TMap®. First a test process improvement (TPI) research has been made to make sure that we covered the risks areas of the test process.
From these results a standard test strategy has been defined, which was linked to the project management method Prince-2. The presented working method has been introduced as integral part within the process of system development of the ministry of SZW.

Capgemini has a partnership with Albert Heijn for all of their test activities. An important part of the agreement is that the majority of the test activities will be executed by the offshore capacities.
In his role of tests and implementation coordinator he was responsible for the project and production support testing for the business Units: Store Replenishment & system Integration and marketing Merchandize Format.
Next to his daily activities as a test coordinator also the transition plan of test activities to India had to be established. Before starting the actual transition Remco initiated a TPI survey to tackle possible risks. Based on the outcome and the standard Distributed Deliver Framework (DDF), the transition plan was set up and executed.
After setting up new work processes he transferred the testing activities of the divisions marketing Merchandize Format and Store Replenishment into the Capgemini RightShore offshore model.

In a short period Remco has delivered the offshore tests and implementation strategy for the rebuilding of the business application (KIOSK). This application is in use with 1200 competitor users.
Together with the customer and the development team a high level tests and implementation plan was set up. The test plan was developed, based on the risk of the different components and the involvement of the test team in India.
The application was delivered by managing a “one team approach”
- Setup masters and details test and implementation plans and further required documentation.
- Qualified Test cases.
- Contact person for tests and implementation for Atos Origin India and KPN.
- Supervisor of the test team in India and the Netherlands.

KPN introduced a new managed customer Windows XP workplace for his employees. The business applications (1200) will be installed remotely and have to be script and verified for Windows XP compliancy.
With the customer and client Remco Oostelaar setup the test street and established documentation and functional specifications.
Beside his responsibility for the test team (6 persons), he was also contact person for the functional application administrators. In the Netherlands he gave wide introduction presentations on the change of the new workplace.
80% of the applications had been tested within time. All collected information was correctly intensified in the KPN application database. With extending the logging and improving overall quality and carrying solutions, he accelerated the overall script process.

Remco was responsible for advising, scheduling, and executing the migration of Akzo-Nobels Board of Management to Windows XP.

2001 - end 2002: Team leader with the responsibility for daily planning, internal project management, preparation of the migration to Windows 2000 professional. Also responsible for the support team for production support on desktop management, change management and the helpdesk.
2003 - may 2004: Akzo-Nobel Chemicals wanted their local helpdesk for Akzo-Nobel chemicals to be transformed to support desk for the whole Akzo-Nobel Netherlands.
