Onic's 17-year experience in business is diverse. Ten years as a venture capitalist, four as an entrepreneur and three in financial services.

Onic is the investment Director of Capital Connect since the fund's inception in 2003, investing in medical devices, consumer goods, software, energy and recycling companies. Onic focuses on ‘green’ investments and is the founding investor of two innovative recycling companies in Greece.

Previously Onic headed the International business development of Velti Plc the leading mobile marketing company.

Prior to that, Onic founded two technology companies, ihavemoved Ltd in London and ichziehum GmbH in Hamburg. He sourced $10 million from investors including Rothschild’s, RWE, Hyundai and MIT’s Nicholas Negroponte and subsequently, in 2003, Royal Mail Plc and Deutsche Post AG acquired and renamed them iammoving.com and umziehen.de.

Earlier, Onic helped finance and operate shipping, energy and technology investments at Dorian Eagle Financial Partners (Hadjipateras Group).

Onic began his career in 1992 as a financial adviser at Hancock Manulife Financial.

Onic earned a BSc in Management from Bentley and a CSS in Business Administration from Harvard.
