Broadly, I aim to provide professional web design services to businesses in any location around the world, and to continue learning about emerging web technologies.
I really enjoy working with anything that fuses technology and the digital arts - so web design is a perfect marriage of those desires. I'm a very creative person, but my aptitude for mathematics and programming is also very high. Nothing is better than receiving a compliment on a design you've done for a customer, or in coding a solution that automates a customer's problem. I've always like solving puzzles, and sometimes I feel that that's how web design is. One big picture puzzle that needs to be put together correctly. I honestly don't know what I would be doing with my life if the Internet didn't exist in the age I'm living in.
The Internet is the best and most influential creation humanity has provided us. One of my happiest achievements is getting my Mom to be comfortable using the Internet. It's opened up the world to her. My Dad's even been able to reconnect with some of his old-time Navy buddies he's lost touch with over the years.
Over the years I've developed and refined my own software package called Acorn that is comprised of modules and coding snippets that make my life easier when building a website for a customer. We're getting ready to finish a 2.0 release of Acorn that uses CSS exclusively and NO TABLES at all. I'm very excited.
My goal is to one day build, oversee, and manage a website technology that provides the general public a service that is both entertaining, and meaningful to their lives.

September 2005 — July 2006 (11 months)
I coded and worked on Hyland's financial OnBase software package entitled LockBox. It was entirely web-based and we used C#/ASP.NET, JavaScript including AJAX. In the end though I was nothing more than a cube monkey and had to get out of there - that's why I started my own web design business and life has been grand ever since!
