Doug Knittle, entrepreneur and visionary, is the founder and CEO of Oleole.com LLC; Founder and CEO of Razorgator and founder and CEO of the Special Event Company.
Oleole.com LLC, founded by Doug in 2006, aims to be the largest football/soccer social media site on the web. It is a place where football/soccer fans create 100% of the content, make new friends, find the latest information about their favorite teams and players, post their opinions, post a blog, view podcasts and videos and purchase VIP packages to football/soccer events worldwide. Doug is a key participant in determining Oleole’s business strategy and vision. He is responsible for all of the global business operations of Oleole.
Razorgator, founded by Doug in 2001 is an online event ticket agency specializing in hard-to-get tickets to sold-out sporting events, concerts and theatre. Events include the Super Bowl, World Cup, London theatre, The Olympics and of course, sold out concerts. Razorgator raised 49.5 million dollars from KPCB, Oak Ventures and Steamboat Ventures (A Disney Co.). Razorgator is also partnered with Yahoo, MSN and Fox Sports
Razorgator grew from The Ticket Outlet which Doug formed in 1977 and Special Events Company, which he founded in 1985. Razorgator was created to use the emerging technology of the time to reach internet consumers.
Originally just one office, The Ticket Outlet grew to four offices by 1984 and Doug, seeing a significant opportunity, then purchased several other ticket agencies across the globe and created The Special Event Company. Doug spearheaded ground-breaking deals with official teams and organizational committees which allowed sports fans access to tickets that had rarely been available before. The Ticket Outlet and the Special Event Company were so successful that by the time he joined them to create Razorgator, Doug had already sold more tickets to The World cup, Super Bowl and the Olympics than any other ticket broker in history.
Doug Knittle has over 30 years of experience in the secondary ticket industry. He is well respected and known for taking risks and creating spectacular successes. Playboy Magazine, Circa 2005, nicknamed Doug the “Keyser Soze” of Super Bowl tickets (see movie “The Usual Suspects) He is an insightful entrepreneur; seeing and acting on opportunities before others. His straightforward style creates long lasting business relationships and mutually beneficial ventures.
