Nitin Dahad’s Summary
Nitin Dahad has a number of different roles in consulting, high-tech start-ups, publishers, and as a non-executive director/board member in private and public sector organisations.
Nitin has operated in all the major technology centres in Europe, USA, and Asia, working with large semiconductor and electronics companies in the early part of his career and then as a commentator/journalist on various aspects of international business and entrepreneurship.
His current professional interests include consulting, corporate marketing and business development firm TechSpark, which works with technology start-ups and high-growth companies in leading edge technologies around the world.
In the public sector, Nitin Dahad joined the EEDA board in December 2008, where he also serves on the Strategy Committee and Digital Partnership, and sits on the board of EEI (East of England International). He has also served on the board of governors at the University of Hertfordshire since 2003, where he also sits on the Finance and General Purposes Committee, the Scholarships Committee, and has chaired the Disciplinary Appeals Panel.
Since the mid-1990s, he has been a commentator on the transformation of India’s business environment through various media channels. In the latter part of the 1990s, among one of his most significant achievements was that of taking UK-based start-up microprocessor company, ARC International (LSE: ARK), first to Silicon Valley in the USA and subsequently through to a successful an IPO on the London Stock Exchange.
Nitin is also a director with identysol, a start-up established to utilise the latest RFID communications technology for tracking and monitoring solutions. In publishing, he co-founded The Chilli, the UK’s leading online media platform and brand for high-tech entrepreneurs, investors and advisors, and also co-founded Technology Leaders TV, a web-based TV channel providing perspectives from global leaders in the technology industry.
