Management and leadership has always been my passion. In school days I used to lead our school cricket team, in college days I planned and executed several events like annual day function, quiz contest and in MBA days it became more formal in terms of organizing national level seminars.
My passion towards leadership was visible in my 6+ years of IT career. I demonstrated it as and when I got opportunity. In very first year of my career, I had to manage few areas of the project / s independently, a challenge which I was eager to take. Later I worked with few big names like IBM, Linde. I tried to possess this skill and kept on exploring new technical / business areas.
Domain wise I mainly worked into Web / CMS, though I also got a chance to work into manufacturing, gas and chemical industry. Technology wise I explored Interwoven TeamSite, Open Deploy, J2EE, XML, Perl, Oracle, and other CMS tools like IBM WCM, Day Communique, and Magnolia.I am a great follower when it comes to adhering to some standard practices / models like SDLC, Prototyping, Agile, CMM, ITIL, ISO, etc. I also wrote some white papers about these best practices and how we can implement them in real project scenario.
Interest wise, I am always fascinated by this rapidly evolving web world. I keep on exploring new trends, upcoming projects, e-marketing, myth and mystery behind internet search business and innovative concepts which are going to change the web world.
Apart from work @ office I do devote some of my personal time to read and write. Reading business case studies, company’s biographies (like- who says elephants can’t dance, only the paranoid survive, etc) and trend setter books (like – blink, who moved my cheese, etc) are my favorite travel partners. I do like writing especially when a thought pops up. I keep them posted on blogs / websites.
