Lead Researcher at We Are:London
London, United Kingdom
I have five years professional design experience, from product and service design to user experience consulting. In 2005 I founded Zest Innovation (UK) Ltd with university friend Laura Williams and ran this Service Design consultancy until 2008 when we decided to close the business.
I then took my broad ranging commercial and research skills and joined Flow Interactive as a User Experience Consultant; helping clients to understand their digitally based products and services from the perspective of consumers - in order to improve, re-design or create from scratch, websites and software applications.
I am now Lead Researcher at We Are:London, a rapidly growing research and design, agency where I am responsible for managing and delivering research projects designed to help clients make design decisions based on insight gathered from a variety of research approaches including: lab based user testing, remote user testing, crowd sourcing, contextual interviewing to name but a few.
During my career to-date I have worked with organisations large and small, in both the private and public sector. I have helped organisations to:
• Understand their customers better through research projects
• Define their product and service propositions more clearly (and how they should operate) through visualisation exercises
• Generate concepts for improving their products and service or develop ideas for completely new products and services.
Although the goals of each of the organisations I have worked with have been different I have always been able to deliver significant returns on investments, and made the research and design process engaging and enjoyable for all those involved.
