I was a co-founder and lead coordinator of the Stanford chapter of Students Taking Action Now: Darfur. The group organized a 5,000+-person vigil on the Golden Gate Bridge, led successful university and state divestment campaigns, helped draft a Darfur Op-Ed published in The New York Times and The Int'l Herald Tribune, raised $100,000+ for relief organizations working in Sudan, and generated 40,000+ advocacy letters, calls, and emails on behalf of the people of Darfur. STAND received a Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors Award in February 2008.- Activities and Societies:
