OurPledge is an organizing and technology resource for Sudan advocacy. We're part of a global movement to end genocide and secure peace and justice in Sudan.
Our advocacy follows three key principles:
1) Truth: Stick to the policies that will help the people of Sudan.
2) Scalability: Generate more and more activist leadership with compelling tools and incentives.
3) Accessibility: Make it easy for anyone to act effectively for the people of Sudan.
OurPledge is one resource for the grassroots Sudan movement. Our name represents our promise: we won’t stop working until genocide and mass atrocities are completely abolished.

I was a co-founder and lead coordinator of the Stanford chapter of Students Taking Action Now: Darfur. The group organized a 5,000+-person vigil on the Golden Gate Bridge, led successful university and state divestment campaigns, helped draft a Darfur Op-Ed published in The New York Times and The Int'l Herald Tribune, raised $100,000+ for relief organizations working in Sudan, and generated 40,000+ advocacy letters, calls, and emails on behalf of the people of Darfur. STAND received a Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors Award in February 2008.
