Our small team took the website (www.thetube.com) from negligible exposure to being amongst top 100 most visited websites in the UK - and during this time - we kept the website operational over 3 tube strikes in the face of phenomenal amounts of web traffic.
I built a successful interactive Java Tube Map and route planner, using J2ME, for Series 60 Nokia mobile phones. We rolled the product out to all major handsets. I managed the outsourcing of the project to a 3rd party supplier and oversaw development.
I built a product called TubeGuru (ASP / Javascript), which is an extensive London going-out guide based around the idea of a clickable Tube-Map. Packed with over a thousand witty and insightful reviews of London venues, the service received over 750 unsolicited ‘rave comments’ from users over the course of 15 months, and scored 60/75 in a review by New Media Age magazine.
