Since June 2007 I'm employed as a senior Drupal engineer at Madcap B.V., the biggest firm in the Benelux that base their products on top of Drupal - an extremely powerful OSS webdevelopment framework.

Started as an engineering developer on a big community website project I worked 3-4 days on site for 12 months and eventually took over the technical responsibilities for it. During this time my knowledge of databases, performance tuning and especially Drupal 5 grew rapidly, during this time frame I got certified as Zend CE as well.
