Nicolette began her career in media sales and was the youngest women in Detroit to start a Publishers’ Rep business in the 80s. During her tenure in advertising, she secured exclusive contracts with some of the most prestigious magazines in the country, such as Ms., Audubon, The Atlantic Monthly and Entrepreneur.
She “retired” from advertising in 1991 to help her husband start up a mortgage company, which they both ran successfully in Detroit, MI and Sedona, AZ. During that time, she also launched a publishing company, New Vision Publishing, where she was the primary leadership force in promoting authors’ works creating direct mail, advertising and radio publicity campaigns. She was featured on over 50 national and syndicated radio shows.
In 2000, she and her family moved to Houston. Once an entrepreneur always an entrepreneur and in 2004 she started her fourth business venture, Searchlight Marketing, of which she is sole proprietor. Beginning with one online real estate client she has built her client base to include everyone from small e-commerce sites to multi-million dollar B2B customers.
She recently concluded an on-site contract with Chevron as SEO Specialist where she optimized hundreds of Web sites and thousands of Web pages for their corporate intranet.
She’s a prolific blogger, authoring three blogs, and is active in the Houston Chapter of the AMA.
Currently, she applies her SEO skills to help companies of any size increase visibility through improved search engine rankings and sales through effective content optimization and copy writing.
