A decade of dedicated experience in admission counseling and recruitment within higher education. Professional background complemented by a B.A. with double majors in Communication and Psychology. Currently carry program management responsibilities in student personnel, recruitment programming as well as school district/guidance counselor relations and outreach.
Served as an educational consultant to UW-System Office of Academic Diversity and Development (OADD) (formerly Multicultural Center for Educational Excellence). A featured writer for Pioneer Press' (education supplment: 2002, 2005 & 2007) and most recently a guest-writer for www.highereducationstation.org (Illinois Assoc. of Admission Counselors' post-secondary planning resource for parents and students).
Summer of 2009: completed a Career Development Facilitator certification from the National Career Development Association.
College-preparatory counseling; student-recruitment; event programming/promotion; design and instruction of post-secondary planning curriculum/workshops. Certified as a Career development Facilitator. Specialty populations: first generation, grades 8th-12th (and their parents).

Responsibilities in coordinating various recruitment programming: On-Site Admissions (in area high schools), Experience Days (Fall Open Houses), Spring Preview Nights, Annual High School Counselor Breakfast and Wisconsin Education Fair (site-coordinator).
