Training for my present position includes a career as a market research analyst (Neilsen, BMRB & Ipsos), some time in media sales & active involvement in organising business mixers such as Women in Business (London Chapter). This built upon the academic base of a degree in Culture & Communication from Lancaster University, UK.
I have also enjoyed applying my experience of business planning & marketing to the field of not for profit funding, securing many thousands of pounds for voluntary groups in the Birmingham area, as well as training individuals in the skills of running their voluntary organisations.
My own training has been ongoing & I have formal, post graduate qualifications in market research & training. I aspire to the CIM Diploma - and will complete it when I have more time...
I have shared my experiences via case studies for the CIM. Most recently, in the following CIM text book:

500 Year Vision is my commitment to environmental leadership. My personal passion in leading a sustainable life, and finding and testing the means to do this.
This currently takes the form of a sustainable reconstruction project, and professional scepticism at greenwashing (http://www.bogblog.org), however I seek partners to actualise a design for a service independent bathroom pod for wheelchair users & carers of those with profound disabilities.
The pod requires investment of £10,000 in material resources for a prototype. Contact me if you would like to be involved in this project.
