PRSSA National VP of Professional Development; Intern at Edelman Digital
Greater Chicago Area
I recently completed my third year at Michigan State University studying advertising, public relations and public administration; one day I hope to incorporate all of my studies in my career. At MSU, I wear many hats and lead students in different disciplines.
Being involved in PRSSA for three years, I have served in several leadership positions within the Chapter at MSU. I also helped to found and secure grant funding for Hubbell Connections, a full-service, student-run firm. Currently, I serve as National Vice President of Professional Development, managing the PRSSA Blog and developing student-run firms. I have learned and strengthened my skills as a passionate, ethical and strategic pre-professional.
My internship experience at three public relations agencies has given me a strong background in digital media, media relations, strategic planning, fund raising and research. Additionally, I have worked with clients in the health care, nonprofit, automotive, government and professional service industries. In between summer internships, I work at The State News in both sales and management positions.
Upon graduation, I hope to find a career where I can grow and develop while leaving my mark on my company and the industry. I am active in PRSSA and hope to obtain leadership positions within PRSA in the future.
