I am passionate about customer service, communications, branding and design. With 15 years practical experience in creating creative, customer-focused marketing projects and campaigns in a wide range of businesses, I understand that new media opportunities need to be integrated into an existing and comprehensive strategy to ensure appropriate tactics are delivered in a consistent and measurable format.

Through my consultancy work I help businesses comprehend the opportunities for their brands presented through social media and how best to use these routes of communication to listen, understand and engage with their audience, without the hype and buzzwords that are so common in this space.

I started Preview in 1994, and PVLUK in 2000;now one of the best known names in the vehicle markings sector and built 2 teams of talented individuals in disparate industries where customer focus and targeted marketing approaches have been key to developing our client base and building our brands.

Early in 2008 I involved myself in Go4Fresh - we're set to launch a revolution in the provision of fresh, healthy foods to the workplace - Its a start-up with extensive ambitions - see the website for more!!

I'm also hands on with CIM Sussex, as vice chair on the committee, which is a great and practical challenge whilst helping me continue to hone my marketing skills.

I fill my spare time with sporting activities and a love of motor racing; if its cold, then I may be found snowboarding, if its hot, then I'll be surfing, somewhere in between and I'll be running, cycling or swimming, competitively if possible!

    I sit on the local branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing in a voluntary role helping create, coordinate and run a broad programme of marketing events for around 800 CIM members and a wider business audience. The team (read Committee!) of 10 or so meets through the year and we each have specific roles such as sponsorship, sales and PR. My role is to ensure the consistent and accurate delivery of the event communications and I also do the photography to record each event for posterity and more importantly, PR.
    We are an ambitious bunch and have established a track record for quality events that regularly attract 100 or so delegates, encouraging networking, introductions and help promote a better understanding of marketing and its potential power in the business mix.

    I started and developed this new company from scratch with no external investment to take advantage of niche market opportunity designing and manufacturing livery and graphics for the emergency service market in 2000. The company has grown organically and built brand recognition and a solid reputation to an established position in the marketplace. We now operate from a dedicated workshop facility with 2 state of the art cutting machines equipped with ultrasonic welding equipment to handle the special nature of the materials we work with. Sooo much more to it than just sticky-back plastic!
    We now service police forces, fire and ambulance services across the UK, together with highways users and convertors / specialist vehicle builders throughout the UK, Ireland and into Europe.
