Open Source Project Lead at Clockwork Web Framework for .NET
Ottawa, Canada Area
I am a software technologist, speaker, instructor, and blogger with fourteen years of professional experience. I first began programming as a teenager and during my professional career I have lived and worked in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
I am currently focusing on Web 2.0 trends and Microsoft technologies, in particular C# development and SharePoint. Some of my SharePoint career highlights include developing and delivering Australia's first SharePoint Deployment Planning Services engagement for a global soft drink manufacturer, and creating and running a portfolio of high-value SharePoint workshops for companies ranging from major banks to pharmaceutical firms.
I have spoken at conferences and user groups, and instruct a Master's class of programmers for a well known US training firm.
My approach to software development is to combine cutting edge technology with proven software best practices and frequent prototyping. This approach helps to deliver solutions that give clients maximum value and input while reducing their risk and expense.
I've just released a free, open-source custom C# 3.0 web application integration framework. This framework, evolving since 2003, makes it easy to create multilingual n-tier web applications. Its flexible architecture supports run-time plug-and-play components via use of the .NET Provider Model, Generics, and object oriented best practices.
