I develop websites using the latest PHP, MySQL, Apache and Linux technologies (commonly referred to as a LAMP setup).
I specialise in development involving Drupal; a very powerful open-source CMS. I tend to use this, not so much as a CMS or blog specifically, but more of a platform or framework to build my websites. I am an active and contributing member of the community and have developed some commonly used modules such as "GlobalRedirect" (an SEO tool to help reduce the number of duplicate pages on a Drupal website) and "Page Title" (a tool to provide granular control over the title of a page in Drupal (the <title> element in the <head> of a document, probably the most important SEO rule in the book!) which isn't normally exposed by Drupal).
I've worked on a range of websites from small blog-like portfolios for music artists up to large, high-traffic community portals for sport professionals.

After my degree I worked for Tesco Broadband in a call center whilst looking for permanent employment.
This gave me experience with dealing with people who were often not very technically minded and needed help either setting up their new broadband connection or diagnosing any problems. Solving the problem
was not necessarily the most difficult task; we usually had to help the customer fix the problem over the phone by guiding them step-by-step without being able to see their screen.
