Jim Adams’s Summary
Jim Adams has always had an affinity for psychology, motivation, performance, and efficiency. He served as an Airborne Psychological Operations Sergeant for the U.S. Army where he met his wife April, also an Airborne Sergeant. After that he went on to San Diego State University where he graduated with honors and received a degree in psychology. During his time at San Diego State, he won best research paper in the area of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
He has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. In 1999 he began harnessing the power of the Internet his first year in real estate where half of all his business came from his website being found on Internet searches. During that time he noticed that only resale homes websites were displayed in the results for ‘new homes’ searches. It was then that NewHomesDirectory.com was born; a web directory of new homes, displaying only new homes that would also be found for ‘new homes’ Internet searches. NewHomesDirectory.com proved immediately to be a valuable Internet marketing tool to new home builders. Today, NewHomesDirectory.com delivers thousands of new home consumers to builders’ websites each and every day.
With no training, he taught himself to build websites; he studied and learned search engine algorithms, and learned to program the software now called EBlast®, the building industry’s most effective communication and lead management tool for new homes sales agents.
In 2003, working with the San Diego BIA, he created and developed Crusader® – an Internet software application designed to mobilize industry professionals at the grassroots level. Crusader was recently given national recognition as it was awarded the Best Political Action Program by the NAHB.
His insatiable passion for the technology and Internet solutions that actually work the way they should, have had a far reaching impact on today building industry.
Jim lives with his wife and children in San Diego, CA.
