I am a lifelong gamer researching and writing on game addiction. Before leaving for graduate school I was playing 20 hours per day, if I could. Now I'm doing what I can to help lay the groundwork for improved personal understanding of game addiction and a more conscientious designing of videogames.
As a gamer, I want to see gamers value one another's health over the progression of their digital characters. As an academic, I want to see the great minds out there explain full and pertinent social issues to a general audience. As a journalist and writer, I seek to provide accurate and balanced information that can make a tangible and positive difference in our world. As a consultant, I treat every task with professionalism, creativity, deep ethical consideration and energy.
I believe that gaming and media technologies deserve to be respected, yet need to be used more conscientiously.
I make a mean cup of coffee.
