Neal Skelton’s Summary

Neal Skelton is Head of Professional Services at ITS UK; a post he assumed following 30 years service as a senior police officer following diverse experience including specialist department expertise ranging from Roads Policing, CID, counter terrorist operations, air support and most significantly a 4 year secondment to the Home Office as a Police Advisor at PSDB (now HOSDB) where, amongst other areas of responsibility became an influential driver for the promotion of ITS technologies to the Home Office and Police Service, including ACPO ITS. Prior to his police service Neal was a Commissioned Officer in the Royal Marines Commandos for 5 years. He has an MA, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management Studies and is a member of the Chartered Management Institute.

As Head of Professional Services at ITS (UK), Neal is responsible for providing the technical expertise needed to fulfil ITS (UK)’s aims to increase the take-up of ITS solutions within the UK, and promote UK ITS capability abroad. In addition Neal is a Director of ESVA (European Secure Vehicle Alliance) and innovITS (ITS Centre of Excellence) and until recently was the current interim-Chairman.
