Official acronym: iUHBA
Full name: International Ultra-High-Bandwidth Access Networks
Phonetic spelling: Ayoohba
Meaning: Ayoohba/Ayooba/Ajooba means “miracle/ miraculous” in Arabic/Urdu language.
Our name, iUHBA, describes more appropriately the core of our business; we prefer to use the term UHBA (Ultra-High-Bandwidth Access) over NGN or NGA (Next Generation Networks/Access).

2007 — Present (2 years )
I co-founded Lachman & Malik Capital Partners, LLC. with my brilliant business partner, Farooq Malik. His four Master Degrees makes him the brains (I guess my looks make me the beauty then) of the firm.
We had big ambitions in 2007, but the subprime mortgage mess and the financial world collapse didn't really help. Better times are ahead: L&M is currently finalizing the blueprints of a $1.5B fund that will benefit the Next Gen Telecom industry. But first, L&M is adding some big names to its Sr. Partners roster.

February 2003 — Present (6 years 10 months)
Was launched in May 2003 as the 21st Century Infrastructures Consortium. Relaunched recently.
At 21st CIC I introduced an alternative to the telecom industry's standard xPON solution for Fiber-To-The-Home infrastructures. Passive Optical Networks are not future-proof. For example, it is impossible (or too expensive) to build infrastructure to provide multiple true-HDTV channels and 1 Gbps speeds per subscriber on PON-based networks.
In March 2003, I published a report on our solution, the FiberBroadband Strategy vs. PON, which is the industry-standard. The report was featured in a Lightwave article "Are PONs too small for the Big Fish?" See http://tinyurl.com/59rlse for the article.
In July 2007, I published a Business White paper; Building Communications Infrastructures for the 21st century: A Multi-Billion Dollar Opportunity for Investors, Vendors and Partners.

March 2007 — February 2009 (2 years )
On Friday, January 30, 2009, GigaSpeed International, Inc.’s Board of Directors and Executive Team agreed to dissolve GigaSpeed International, Inc. per March 1, 2009. The entire Board and Team will transition to a company under a Limited Liability Corporation structure.
The name of the new company is: International Ultra-High-Bandwidth Access Networks, Inc. (iUHBA – pronounced Ayoohba). Any and all activities of GigaSpeed International, Inc. will be moved/switched to iUHBA Networks, Inc.
(Venture Capital & Private Equity industry)
July 2005 — January 2007 (1 year 7 months)
I became Chairman & CEO of 21 CVC in March 2006, it was the successor of 21st Century Group of Funds, which I founded in 2003.
A new partnership, Lachman & Malik Capital Partners, LLC, has been set up with a Private Equity structure. At L&M, we believe that the next few decades will see "evolutionary progress through revolutionary means"™. An example is the next-generation way of transportation: ultra-high-speed transit, such as magnetic levitation (maglev) systems. The same goes for communications: ultra-high-speed and ultra-high-capacity communications capabilities through a next-generation digital communications infrastructure.
To “upgrade” (evolve) from the current status to the new level (next-generation), a revolutionary approach must be taken.

July 1999 — January 2007 (7 years 7 months)
I licensed all Intellectual Property of LBDC and its predecessors and (previous) subsidiaries and affiliates to iUHBA Networks, LLC.
Started as a personal investment, at LBDC, I was responsible for the investment and development of the FiberBroadband Strategy, which is gaining traction as a new, future-proof business strategy for ultra-high-bandwidth access infrastructures.
Based on extensive research and planning (90,000 man hours) since 2000, my teams and I have developed the FiberBroadband Strategy to realize the next digital/communications infrastructure through future proof patented technologies that will revolutionize the digital/communications industry as we know it.
The FiberBroadband Strategy includes the technical, business and financial aspects of building and operating end-to-end Optical Fiber infrastructures (Fiber-To-The-Home/Office) and a Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) network to serve 20-40 million subscribers in the USA.
Executive Director of The Next-Generation Development & Infrastructures Consortium, an industry lobby group that proposes planning and building nationwide Fiber To The Home & Broadband Wireless Access infrastructures. http://ngdic.wordpress.com/
