With a strong print journalism background, moving from my role as a newspaper reporter to freelance writer covering the gaming industry was a natural and seamless transition. I take pride in my ability to deliver consistently tight writing, work well under tight deadline pressure, and offer a unique perspective through my coverage of video games. My quirky and playful personality shines through my writing, and I find great enjoyment in combining my traditional journalism experience with my lifelong love of gaming.
Having immersed myself in geek and gamer culture from an early age, I like to think outside the box in approaching quirky feature angles and ideas in my writing. Turning research and interviews into compelling and intriguing feature articles is one of my strong points. I've also produced hundreds of reviews, previews, and other pieces for numerous gaming-related publications. I'm currently seeking to expand my freelance endeavors and would welcome any paying opportunities to contribute gaming-related coverage to your fine print or online publication.
Indie games, current-gen console and handheld games, iPhone games and apps, PC gaming, retro gaming, geek culture, gaming-related music, extensive knowledge of games past and present, quirky features, interviews, profiles, research.
