Web user interaction designer (IxD, UX)

I am a versatile and experienced web professional with a range of well-developed skills across design, implementation, usability, accessibility and technical project management. I am creative, innovative, motivated & productive and work well with other similarly-minded people.
My current role is with the Australian Government Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) on developing Training.gov.au, designing and implementing web standards compliant user interfaces and facilitating user testing and heuristic usability and accessibility testing (including against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG). I prepare evaluation reports on compliance against usability and accessibility non-functional requirements for contract management as well as off-the-spec assessments.
I designed the web-based administrative interfaces for Training.gov.au leading the team from conceptual design through whiteboard prototyping to developing high-fidelity HTML, CSS & JavaScript fully functional prototypes using AJAX and JavaScript libraries including YUI and jQuery.
I am also responsible for commissioning the first Federal Government blog the Training.gov.au Project Blog and the first Federal Government Twitter account @TrainingGovAu and monitor brand mentions on the web, following up feedback, responding to questions and offering assistance on external blogs and websites.
I am responsible for web analytics configuration, monitoring and report generation including recommending changes to site content, layout and navigation.
The need for formal, organised stakeholder engagement on the Training.gov.au project was a requirement I identified and took action on through preparing a briefing and leading discussions which led to the engagement of a dedicated stakeholder engagement officer and the development of a rigorous engagement & consultation schedule and set of strategies for each stakeholder group.
