Sr. Sales Manager at Homewood Suites by Hilton/Hilton Garden Inn
Greater San Diego Area
I have a diverse career background ranging from 8 years in the biotech industry to my current field as senior sales manager of two hotels.
I fell in love with science in college when I took my first college level chemistry class. I thoroughly enjoyed working on projects that we hoped would eventually eradicate certain viruses, and make animals healthier resulting in a better food source for humans. What I was lacking in my science career was the chance to touch people on a day to day basis and make their lives more enjoyable.
Hospitality gives me that opportunity. I am able to combine my analytical and problem solving skills from the biotech industry with my passion for hospitality, business and travel to create a win-win situation for the company that I represent while negotiating solutions and value for my clients. The hospitality industry thrives and is sustained by personal relationships. These relationships are what make me love my job every day.
I have several goals which include broadening my hospitality experience, getting my MBA, completing the Ironman Triathlon, traveling the world, learning more languages, and working on site selection and development of new / re-branded hotels.
At the end of the day all that really matters to me is being happy. I enjoy every day as it comes.
