After successfully hosting and producing a technology talk show for two years on a top Seattle, Washington, talk radio station (570 KVI), Nakea leap-frogged from a state-wide syndication to a popular nationally syndicated show called Connected.
Connected was a nationally syndicated radio show focused on technology and the Internet. As host of the show, Nakea interviewed the movers, shakers and news-makers in the technology industry, from eBay founder, Pierre Omidyar, to actress Sandra Bullock who starred in The Net, to some of the most notorious hackers. Nakea left the show in 1998 to co-found and run The Cyber Station, which later became World Webcast Network (a New Media Broadcasting company).
