I am a medical informaticist / informatician and a physician, specializing in clinical decision support systems and biomedical terminologies / ontologies. I am also a computer programmer for more than ten years. My professional interests are to enhance clinical care by contributing to research and development in biomedical informatics, especially in clinical decision support (probabilistic and temporal reasoning), biomedical ontologies and terminologies, data mining, and patient safety. I am also a co-author and editor of the HL7 Common Terminology Services version 2 (CTS2) standard.
