Thierry Nabeth’s Summary

I am highly interested in innovation, and its impact on the organizations and on the society, being able to anticipate most of the major trends (objects oriented systems, constraint propapation systems, Internet, agent technologies, collaborative systems, virtual reality, the social web, etc.) both at a research and at an operational level.
I am a strong believer in the capacity of innovation (considered according to a usage perspective) to radically transform the society and to make it more effective both for the organization and for the individual.
The concepts that drive me are the searching for simplicity (elegance), maximum agility, the operationalisation of ideas (I am not interested by an idea if we can not make it to work), and intelligence (individual & social) augmentation. I am totally result oriented.

I have been an early adopter of the Web 2.0 (blogs, Wikis, social networking, etc.), both as a user, as a designer and as an evangelist.

The focus of my research includes: very flexible, emerging, intelligent, social, "knowledge infrastructures".

I started my professional career more than 20 years ago as an engineer designing CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) tools used to design processors, continuing my work in the New Product Division at Alcatel working on Intelligent systems for decision making, and then as a researcher at INSEAD in which I contributed to the launch and later the financing (finding the money) of CALT (the Centre of Advanced Learning technology) both a researcher and as the acting director (bringing a significant amount of the projects).

My "motto": never give-up, never surrender.
