Paul was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin.

Paul was elected the youngest President of the American League of Lobbyists,
Paul is the founder of the Hoops for Youth Foundation, which raises money for children's charities. To date this event has raised over $400,000.
Paul has vast experience in the lobbying profession and in January of 2006, he introduced the first lobbying certificate program for the profession.
Paul has led the fight to bring about changes to the electronic filing system for lobbying disclosure forms in the House of Representatives.
Paul was also instrumental in shaping the debate on lobbying reform in 2006 and 2007. As chief spokesman and lobbyist for the profession, Paul met with leaders from both parties on the issue of reform. He has been a tireless champion in the fight to protect every citizen’s right to petition their government through lobbying activities.
Paul has traveled abroad to talk with foreign leaders about their efforts to implement lobbying rules and regulations. He has met with leaders from Peru, Indonesia, Great Britain, Viet Nam, Czechoslovakia, Italy, Scandinavia, Poland, and Japan.
Paul specializes in Government contracts, where he has helped his clients secure well over $300 million in federal contract opportunities.
Paul works to protect big cats through his pro bono work with the Big Cat Rescue.
He has appeared on NBC Nightly News, ABC News, C-Span, CNN, MSNBC, The News Hour with Jim Lehr, and Lou Dobbs discussing ethics and transparency issues.
