As an Agile Coach, Karlheinz Muenchow helps companies reach their productivity potential by developing and implementing practical applications of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, that streamline and increase the efficiency of engineering and business operations.
As an Agile instructor, he provides students with invaluable lessons and insights about this innovative, results-oriented philosophy.
Karl’s unique approach and proficiency in scaling Agility allows him to successfully manage development domains such as software, hardware, and firmware that often require the complex coupling of Agile with Waterfall and Stage-Gate processes.
During his 15 years of Product and Systems Development experience, Karl created innovative products such as analyzers, network access systems, wireless devices, and distributed data management systems for a variety of high-tech fields, including automation, communications, and energy management. Industry leaders such as Cellnet-Hunt, Danger (now Microsoft), Larscom, L+G, Nokia, Panasonic, Pliant, PMC-Sierra, Pulscom, Taproot Systems, Telesys Technologies, and W&G have benefited from his expertise.
Above all, Karl is passionate about bringing Agility to Product & Systems Development organization, and to spreading the message of Agility through educational courses and hands-on coaching around the country.
Besides holding a Diploma Engineering Degree from the University of Reutlingen, Germany, Karl is a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and Project Management Professional (PMP®). He belongs to the Agile Alliance, Scrum Alliance, Project Management Institute (PMI), and the Association of German Engineers (VDI), and actively contributes to Agile organizations in the United States and Europe.
