Beginning in January 2009, I am in the "Innovation Incubator" in Verizon Global Services division. We deliver hosting, application management, infrastructure management, security solutions---powered by Cybertrust---and a wide range of cosourced and outsourced IT services.
My role in the Innovation Incubator is to find novel ways to combine or create services for high leverage, impact, and value. In short, I'll be doing the bleeding on the "bleeding edge".
From January 2006 to December 2008, I was Director of Sales Engineering for the Central and Southeast regions of the United States. I supported sales for colocation, premium hosting, and application management.
As always, I drove leaner processes to increase throughput, decrease effort, and scale to higher revenue with higher profitability. This involved reducing waste, eliminating non-value-add steps, improving tooling, improving quality, and reducing needless iterations. In short, Lean Sales Engineering.
