Building relationships and connecting people with opportunity are at my core. I rely heavily on online networks like LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter to facilitate each. My job is to provide career services to Michigan State University's 420,000 alumni. I conduct speaking engagements on a regular basis in Michigan and across the country on career development topics ranging from "How To Take Your Online Connections Offline For Career Success" to "Developing Your Career Search Strategy" to "Building Campus Relationships". I also work with private sector, public sector and academic entities to identify how Web 2.0 can help their organizations aggregate audience, communicate and build business. Helping Michigan retain talented college graduates and re-recruiting our alumni who have left the state to new economy jobs is a goal of mine. I am young, smart and global at heart, MSU by passion and driven by nature.
