I was hired by Baltimore County Public Schools, a system of 164 schools, 17,000 employees and 114,000 students to update and maintain their system networks.

• Designed, developed, deployed, and supervised administration of corporate wide area network (WAN). Converted from bridged network to a completely routed network using Cisco Routers.
• Designed, deployed and administered Citrix Server Farm for new Financial, HR and Budgeting client applications reducing manpower requirements and speeding up time to production for all three systems.
• Designed, developed, implemented and supervised administration of County Web Site.
• Developed, implemented and supervised administration of new e-mail system. Developed guidelines and procedures for corporate e-mail usage.
• Main Contact and Primary Instructor for the Cisco Networking Academy Program.
• Supervised Network Services Group (comprised of 4 Field Engineers) responsible for the troubleshooting and repairs of network issues.

I was hired by Bell Education as a Field Engineer for their Virginia Beach, VA office location, while at this location I decreased turn-around time for equipment that came into shop, as well as redesigned job tracking database to increase proficiency. I was then relocated to their Bethesda office and soon after promoted to Systems Engineer.

• Planned wide and local area networks (WAN and LAN) for customers;
• Conducted technical training courses, technical informational seminars and participated in trade shows;
• Designed and maintained Web Site for Apple Computer for the Maryland Initiative;
• Handled critical technical issues that would have negatively impacted quarterly earnings.

As Electronics Engineer (2841) for 4th Battalion Amphibious Assault Vehicle Company A (-), I participated in numerous training operations; as well as participated in Operations Desert Storm, Desert Shield , Desert Saber and Sea Angel. My duties included the maintenance and upkeep of all of the electronic and communications equipment for the Company.

• Supervised and repaired all of the electronic and communications equipment;
• Maintained accurate repair logs of all equipment processed by my department.
• Obtained Sergeant rank (E5) before retiring with an Honorable Discharge in 1996.
