Adirondack Camp is a summer camp on the shores of Lake George, NY. Every year there are about 160 campers aged 10 - 17 who come to camp for 2 - 8 weeks. They participate in activities from four major areas: Land, Water, Arts, and Trips. I co-managed the Trips division.

• Led a team of 7 wilderness trip leaders.
• Team prepared and executed over 80 single and multi-day backcountry hiking, canoeing, sailing, and rock climbing trips.
• Responsible for hiring, equipment, logistics, safety, and teaching wilderness skills.

Responsible for operation, safety, and maintenance of rock climbing facilities including 33 ft., 11 station top-roping tower and 12ft. tall, 60ft long bouldering wall. Managed outdoor gear rental service for students & staff.

• Manage, train, and schedule 14 rock climbing staff.
• Teach belay safety classes to certify students as climbers.
• Set bouldering and top-roping routes.
• Perform monthly and annual checks on harnesses, shoes, ropes, carabiners, gri-gri's, and ground anchors.
• Rental and return of tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and lanterns.

June 2009 – August 2009 (3 months)

• Led 20 trips including day-hikes, 4-day multi-mountain through-hikes, and canoeing trips.
• Prevented, diagnosed, and treated various illnesses and medical emergencies in the backcountry.
• Taught backcountry skills including campsite set-up, canoe skills, and wilderness ethics.
• Planned routes, prepared food and equipment.
• Promoted morale and group dynamics through stories, riddles, conversation, and encouragement.

General Electric is well-known for it's training programs. They developed the Plant Financial Leadership Program to fill the need for finance managers and analysts in the Commercial & Industrial divisions. The PFLP internship is meant to recruit talent to the PFLP program after graduation. This was my first experience working full-time for a multi-national company. I worked at a factory that produced low and medium voltage switches for large industrial applications (such as oil refineries and assembly plants). I enjoyed spending time on the factory floor and in the lab talking to the engineers and scientists.

• Assisted in divestiture of Medium Voltage division; reconciliation of $7.5 million in inventory.
• Member of “Lean manufacturing” team to help resolve shop order stoppages.
• Analyzed MPV, prepared journal entries, costed job orders, and responded to A/P & A/R issues.
