Solomon Rothman is a collaborative filmmaker who leads distributed teams of artists, actors, and video editors from all over the world in making original videos and films. In early 2009, he released one of the first open-source, collaborative films ever made. His broad range of skills and experience include directing, script-writing, acting, video editing, and online distribution. He is also an active blogger on collaborative film-making, pop-culture, social networks, and internet marketing.
He developed his discipline and leadership skills during his 2 years of service in the U.S. Army as an Assistant Section Chief of a Multiple Launch Rocket Systems Unit. Then, at the University of Oregon, he nurtured his multi-disciplinary background by studying Mathematics, Computer Science, and English.
Prior to working full-time for MoviePals Entertainment LLC, he had a lead role in internet marketing and search optimization for Social Media Systems, LLC an internet marketing and web development company. In that role, he created viral marketing campaigns including videos that have been seen millions of time, built websites from scratch that evolved into thriving communities, and been involved with marketing campaigns of varying sizes.
