After VeriSign acquired Thawte, I spent a year at VeriSign's HQ in Mountain View, CA working on integration between the companies' systems - specifically the cryptographic back end.
On my return to South Africa I played different roles including Security Manager, responsible for Security Policies and implementation including physical and logical security. I was the point person for Thawte's WebTrust for Certificate Authorities audit.
I also headed up Thawte's Corporate and Production IT team, where I was responsible for Data Center management including Customer-facing web infrastructure on Linux, and corporate business systems on Linux and Windows.
