  • Congressional Affairs Liaison

    National Jewish Coalition

    (Non-Profit; Political Organization industry)

    June 1990January 1991 (8 months)

This organization is now the Republican Jewish Coalition. I worked there in a full-time position immediately after my graduation from college. During this time, I built networks with Republican Members of Congress. I helped them learn about gaining more support in the Jewish community, and wrote publications for general distribution to make fellow Jews aware of their many allies in the Republican Party. Most often, I worked with top Congressional aides, and I organized monthly breakfast meetings to discuss relevant issues.

  • Intern

    National Jewish Coalition

    (Non-Profit; Political Organization industry)

    June 1989September 1989 (4 months)

Now known as the Republican Jewish Coalition, I served as an Intern with the organization during which time they had less than 10 employees. I job required me to build networks with interns on Capitol Hill and establish a program that would enable continued relationships after these interns returned to college. My boss recognized my networking, research and writing ability. I began publishing weekly special reports distributed solely to NJC Board Members. The reports primarily spec sheets on Congressmen and Senators, provided an insider's view, and were a benefit of Board Membership. In completing this reports, I proved to my colleagues that I could obtain information from appropriate sources and complete quality work on a deadline.
