Currently serve as the middle school instructional technology coordinator, where I teach elective classes, provide leadership for the effective use of technology, and work with faculty members to assist them with embedding technology in the curriculum.
Currently working with our school community to make our campus WiFi friendly. This will allow patrons to use their own personal WiFi capable computing devices while on campus, which will take pressure off our existing school owned resources and give our students better access to 21st century learning tools.
Demonstrated leadership in the area of sustainable and "green" computing. Faculty adviser for the school-wide "Environmental Action Team," which has been pivotal in raising awareness and implementing new practices dealing with environmental sustainability and awareness in our school.
Attended the 2007 National Solar Power Conference in Long Beach, CA as the recipient of an educator grant award from our local utility company. Part of a small group of parents, educators and administrators who are building a case for the installation of a clean energy solar photovoltaic system on our campus.
Currently a member of the Webcast Academy's class of 2.4-in this professional development experience I work with people from all over the world to learn about the process of producing and facilitating webcasts.
Active faculty member in many aspects of student life. Serve as a faculty adviser for two clubs (Environmental Action Team and the Middle School Online Morning News show) and regularly attend student retreats (8th grade Washington DC trip, overnight camping retreats, etc).
