Funny or Die is a Sequoia Capital-funded destination of choice for users, content creators, and advertisers in the online comedy video space.
Our key partners include Gary Sanchez Productions (Will Ferrell, Adam McKay, and Chris Henchy), Judd Apatow, and Creative Artists Agency.
The site launched in April '07 and is now one of the biggest comedy sites online with over 5.5M uniques / month. We've also built a world-class digital production team that cranks out some of the Web's most viral comedy.
In mid 2008 we announced an investment from HBO that involves the production of 10 half-hours of Funny or Die branded content to air on HBO in '09.
I am most deeply involved in viral, grassroots, and social media marketing; BD, syndication, and licensing; product design and development; FP&A; ad sales, sponsorships, and general money making; and most other facets of the business not related to making funny videos.

Insider Pages is a local search site that enables friends and neighbors to share word-of-mouth wisdom about local businesses of all kinds. Millions of visitors come to the site every month to take advantage of one of the Web's largest collections of customer-written business reviews.
The company was originally funded by Sequoia Capital, SoftBank Capital, and Idealab but was acquired in Febuary of 2007 by IAC.
As CEO my role was to chart the company's strategy, manage day-to-day operations, oversee business/corporate development, make happy/productive employees, and delight users of our site. I also held a seat on the Insider Pages Board of Directors.
During my tenure as CEO Insider Pages costs decreased by more than 60%, our traffic grew by more than 4X and our revenue grew by more than 3X.
