My passions are creating innovative products and businesses, while teaming up with talented people who have a passion for making a difference. My technology and market focus includes social media, collaboration, mobility, networking, security, virtualization, cloud services, SaaS, Microsoft and open source.
Many of who I've worked along side say I have a knack for effectively understanding customer and market needs, translating those into successfully delivered systems and products, and effectively simplifying complex topics and communicating them in a way a broad audience can understand.
I love to evangelize the work I am a part of with customers, analysts, and media. I am fortunate to have appeared in industry publications such as USAToday, NetworkWorld, ComputerWorld, InfoWorld, InformationWeek, CRN and others.
I regularly blog about my activities and topics of interest at The Converging Network, http://theconvergingnetwork.com, the Network World Microsoft Subnet blog, http://www.networkworld.com/community/ashley, and the podcast I co-host, "StillSecure After All These Years", http://ashimmy.podomatic.com.

StillSecure is a business I've been with since the start of the company. As VP of engineering our team brought four innovative products to market while most companies our size would struggle to bring one product to market. Two of our products, Safe Access and Strata Guard, are "Best Of" winners in their category and VAM has numerous accolades as well. As CTO and VP customer experience I lead the company in our product strategy and product design as well as speaking at security industry events, with press and analysts and industry organizations such as Trusted Computing Group.
In addition to CTO, I served as General Manager of the Cobia Unified Network Platform, StillSecure's newest innovative and industry leading product. As GM I directly managed the product engineering responsibilities had P&L, product management, marketing and within the respective organizations of StillSecure. Check out Cobia at http://cobia.stillsecure.com.

As the first employee of the company I started in the lab prototyping our network infrastructure and services to deploying a network of over 500 POPs in less that 14 months. With the added responsible of Customer Operations and IT I had the joy of managing a significant portion of the business. Jato helped build my reputation as someone who uniquely delivered projects on time, often exceeding our company goals. What a fun company to build and be a part of.

Profitable from our first month of operations BoldTech Systems provided large scale systems integration services to telecommunications companies. Our first accounts were USWest, AOL, Jones Cable, and Qwest. I owe the success of this company to some very talented individuals that quickly joined after the company was started and helped build BoldTech. Thanks to my friends and collegues.
