Recruiters: I'm only interested in hearing about jobs in the San Francisco area.
I build automated Web application and software testing harnesses. I specialize in testing SDK's, API's and Web Services. I use open source tools, like Eclipse, to keep costs down.
Recently I started experimenting with mobile development (iPhone OS, Objective-C, Xcode, Cocoa, Google Android) and the Google App Engine (Python).
In my spare time, for two years I was the producer and Webmaster behind Rockosphere.TV ( http://www.rockosphere.TV ), a video podcast.
I've written three books on programming and have had a number of articles published.

* Burlington, Massachusetts, Dictaphone Healthcare Division
* Continuing my work from when I worked for Dictaphone (now owned by Nuance)
* Developed a test harness using code generation for a client/server ActiveX voice recognition SDK.
* Test harness integrates with a reporting database that I created using XAMPP (Apache, MySQL, PHP, XML, XSLT).
* Test results are automatically posted to an internal Web server for live reporting and remote monitoring.
* Because everything is Web-based, Developers can browse to the internal Web server and run my tests.
* Created a system where workstations could request automated regression jobs, spreading the load across multple clients.
