Extensive experience directing the creation and distribution of educational programming and teacher professional development applications, with an emphasis on utilizing new media and the power of television and film to enhance the educational experience for teachers and students.
With nearly 15 years directing educational programs for The American Film Institute and KCET, and previous experience directing operations at an interactive media production company, I am now eager to apply my expertise to new challenges in a new arena.
Bringing the talents and resources of the entertainment, technology and educational communities together to empower educators and a wide range of learners to master the skills needed for living and working in the 21st century.

Directed the creation, operation and growth of the AFI Screen Education Center. Planned and successfully implemented all activities related to the program’s products and services, transforming education in this era increasingly shaped by visual media and technology. Secured and administered seven years of funding and program support from the United States Department of Education and foundation partners. Brought together the entertainment, technology and educational communities to empower educators and a wide range of learners to master the skills needed for living and working in the 21st century.

Guided the use of emerging media to deliver programs and services to an increasingly technology savvy audience for KCET, the West Coast flagship station for PBS. In addition to overseeing departmental initiatives, directed the award winning website at www.kcet.org, and the Interactive Media Center, where programs and services for teachers, parents and lifelong learners were developed and implemented.
