About Riya
The idea was born out of the difficulty of managing 30,000 digital photos and the impossible task of tagging them in the current networks. He loved the idea of Flickr, but couldn't imagine finding the time to manage that. He asked the question: What if I could upload all of my photos simply to one place that would store them, be smart enough to help me tag them (i.e. recognizing that I've already tagged a photo of my son and finding all of the similar shots and tagging them for me)?"
The site is Ajax based, has a super easy import feature, is
totally free and limitless for users and uses face and text
recognition developed by our brilliant group of Ph.D. scholars from Stanford. It groups similars, events, etc. as you need to organize that much data. Plus, you can still mark them as private, public or controlled share group. There will be more, but it's in development.
