Amy Chan’s Summary

To sum it up, I’m a creative junkie, word wizard and can market and sell pretty much anything.

I have worked with many well known brands ranging from TELUS, BC Hydro to 1-800-GOT-JUNK. My expertise is in marketing strategy, branding /creative direction, budgeting, and online/social media initiatives. My career started at TELUS as a Marketing Specialist where I was a key player in the consumer solutions side. During my tenure at 1-800-GOT-JUNK, I worked with budgets of over 3 million and strategized and implemented marketing campaigns to help increase the revenue of franchise partners worldwide.

As a Senior Marketing Communications Manager at NGRAIN - a high tech company specializing in interactive 3D technology, I managed 11 contractors and agencies and was responsible for the rebrand and new website. I headed the communications and creative strategy for business to business initiatives both online and offline.

As a marketing consultant, I have lead the branding and strategic planning of various companies in the luxury hotel, beauty/health, and food/beverage sectors. Overseeing everything from brand inception to project managing the execution of online and offline marketing campaigns, these companies have experienced great success in growing brand recognition and increasing sales revenue.

On the agency side, I worked as an Account Manager at Tribal DDB. Working with MEC, BC Hydro and CPAWS, I helped manage various campaign launches which included website rebranding, email marketing, and other online initiatives.

Presently, I am the Director of Marketing for Kiwi Collection - an international brand in the luxury hotel industry. I have joined the Kiwi team just recently and look forward to building an all-star marketing team and growing the brand and business to new levels.

On my spare time, when I’m not making mix tapes or hosting an event, I am an avid blogger and ‘social-media-lite’ with a column in the 24 Hours Newspaper.
