Owner, Tick-the-Code Inspection Trainer
Cologne Area, Germany
I've been in the software business since 1993.
Software quality is my special interest area.
My aim is to help software developers and organizations prevent errors instead of suffering from them. I prefer error prevention to error correction, I favor code inspection to testing and regular routine checks to big and rare inspection rituals.
I've developed a pragmatic, back-to-the-basics code inspection method that helps companies utilize the preventive edge in their software development.
The method is called Tick-the-Code Inspection.
Better Software magazine published in Dec-06 my article "Happy Are The Software Engineers...".
Software Quality Professional journal published my first paper in Jun-07 titled "Tick-the-Code Inspection: Theory and Practice"
At Pacific Northwest Software Quality Conference in October 2007, I presented my second paper titled "Tick-the-Code Inspection: Empirical Evidence (on Effectiveness)".
I find the writings of Stephen R. Covey, Gerald M. Weinberg and Tom Gilb especially inspiring.
Qualiteers organizes Tick-the-Code training courses to programmers anywhere.
Error prevention and code inspection have never been combined quite like this.
