Mirco is currently employed at Parla.it, a Digital Television group. Parla.it is a licensed telecommunications operator company that proposes a dual-play offer comprising of an IP telephony line relying on an ADSL access, and a wi-fi mobile to VoIP convergence service.
His main tasks are:
• Planning both functional and non-functional requirements in order to satisfy the customers’ requests, regarding either the needs of the network evolutions or needs of new services. He works side by side with the CEO, the Marketing Director, the Customer Operations Manager and the IT Systems Manager.
• Researching and developing new technical solutions and services by using open sources or commercial products in the Parla.it’ s lab and co-operating with the company’s business partners: the objective being to optimise and integrate their services with the product offered to the customer.
• He is involved in a Triple-Play ADSL-VoIP-IPTV project focused on the QoS, using Ip-DSLAM, various ADSL routers and DTV VideoServers and STB
• Executing several tests on VoIP routers, Ip Phones, PC PDA and mobile-w-ifi Sip clients, widgets, PABX Asterisk based and, more generally, anything that is linked to the Voice Convergence.
• Researching a practical and working solution/product with regard to Unified Communications.
• He is responsible for the integrity of the VoIP platform. He also oversees the services acting directly and indirectly for software bugs working in collaboration with the Netcentrex’ Support Team.
• Guaranteeing the quality of support which identifies common problems, solving them definitively, classifying the technical issues, defining the resolutions scripts and escalation levels, and training the Technical Call Center Operators.

• Design and implementation of the VoIP infrastructure, based upon NetCentrex (Comverse) CCS
• Communication with major providers to offer best quality/price termination traffic using Sip or PRI cables (Cisco AS5400 installed as mediagateway)
• Planning and managing the deployment of the Back Office systems (VoIP platform, Billing, Adsl provisioning, Adsl AAA Radius, Shipping, Ticketing, Cpe inventory and refurbishment, etc.) necessary to add value to the features and improve services of the end user’s product.
• Follow the IT Systems Manager and Customer Operations Manager in the logical workflow and provide technical interconnections, in order to automate most of the processes using an ERP/CRM
• Management of a team responsible for certifying the complete compatibility of Ip Phones, Adsl CPEs, gsm wi-fi and IP PABXes with Parla.it services and products. Accountability for the last level escalation for customer’s technical ticket regarding failures on Adsl and VoIP services.
