After Digital Garage I joined Joi Ito`s other company Neoteny Inc. which is an early stage venture capital company. Working to help Neoteny`s Portfolio companies during these exciting times taught me so much about venture capital investing and business development and it really opened my eyes to a new world of finance. Without a doubt, this was my foundational experience on the investment side of the entprepreneurial adventure and I remain profoundly grateful to Joi Ito and his team for the opportunity to learn and grow.

Digital Garage Inc was the place where I learned from masters what it means to design, build and co-ordinate a business system by creating the context in which existing parts can come together to create new value. I have never seen anyone as creative in the art of seeing these contexts as Hayashi-san and his team at DG and I doubt I ever will again but this way of thinking has inspired the way I think about building businesses today.
