I work as a Java software developer in the third-party integration office. My main role is integrating external software within the in-house built software (an engineering optimization software). The platform I'm working on the most of the time is Windows, but I'm also working with Linux since lots of the third-party software are multi-platform.
For this job we are also writing the user manual with Docbook which is built using the standard nwalsh stylesheet.

For the GNOME community I'm now working with the documentation team. We are in a rewriting phase where we should rewrite in a new topic-based approach almost all applications help.
Within the GNOME and Ubuntu communities I maintain the translations for different applications and documents. I've been helping out with the translation of the 1.6 version of MoinMoin, a wiki engine written in Python, and I'm active within the Translation Project where I have some translations in charge.
In the Ubuntu community I'm part of the Italian Community Council, the body that governs the Italian community, I'm a former member of the Italian documentation team (even if I'm still listed as a member), and am the administrator of the Italian translation team.
