R. Anthony Mills, PMP®, ITIL®’s Summary

Mills, serves as the manager of the National Education Association's Project Management Office (PMO). He has worked in varying aspects of information technology for over ten years – from designer, developer, portal administrator to project manager. Primarily focused on interpreting customer desires and needs, and successfully delivering projects reflecting such. Most recently, he served as the Program Manager/Technology Coordinator of the Democratic National Committee’s political department.

Prior to his tenure at the DNC, Mills served as an independent consultant (in project management and software development and interface design) for companies such as Fannie Mae Foundation, Freddie Mac, Home Depot, Intuit, the NAACP, Philips Electronics, W.B. Donor and many others.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Mills - a graduate of Frostburg State University (B.S.), where he’s served as a member of the alumni association’s board of directors since 1999, and University of Baltimore (M.A.) - has been undeniably active in community activities and organizations, specifically concentrating on those that positively impact the social tribulations of urban neighborhoods.

Additionally, he is an extremely active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., currently serving as President of his Baltimore chapter, Director of Communications for the fraternity’s Eastern region, and vice-chair of the fraternity’s MIS committee. In addition, he is a member of the Project Management Institute; an excellent communicator and trainer, frequently participating in leadership training institutes and seminars geared towards college/university students.
